I focus on keeping the training practical and applicable to a real-world project. While learning the concepts is important, you must demonstrate your knowledge by being able to write programs, analyze what’s happening behind the scenes, and have a working understanding of basic algorithms and computations.
While not created based on Oracle’s certification program, this course will help prepare you for the Programmer Level I Exam to earn the Oracle Certified Associate certificate.
- Get comfortable with controlling the flow of programs
- Understand and apply the core concepts of object-oriented programming
- Know the different data structures and practice traversing through arrays and collections
- Master the common algorithms in computer science

So far, the examples and exercises are pretty much straight forward, learing curve is on a good middle level, challenging for beginners but leaves enough to have more experienced programmers recall what they once learned. Only downside is that the exercise (not the test) was a little of on what was expected to write. In the presenters solution, some methods could have been guessed to be expected but werent mentioned in the task. Besides that, these were quite helpfull for freshing up on the basics
Harish Raj –
As i felt needed explanation on important topics rather than just applying and not understandable for beginners, but overall knowledge is excellent if not dragged in while doing minor mistakes.

I like the get to the point programming and the practical sense of it. Your not learning stuff you wouldn’t use.
Christopher Lim –
This course is good for a refresher and for people who wants to get started in Java.
Thendo Mulelu –
The tutor explains in detail and started with the most basics stuff

This was overall a very good course! I especially appreciated the troubleshooting during the demonstrations. Also, students have the opportunity to solicit feedback from others on their practice activities. This was a great selling point for me. **Please note it does assume some limited exposure to programming. So, absolute beginners may struggle a bit. ?
