What you’ll learn

  • Design Websites
  • Design mobile and desktop apps
  • You will have a fully interactive design and prototype at the end of this course
  • You will learn how to reuse design elements for future projects

Figma is a very powerful application that runs online. There are virtually no platform boundaries when it comes to using figma because you can design within a web browser or using their desktop application made for windows and macs. Figma is similar to Sketch and Adobe XD but is the more powerful of the three when it comes to team collaboration and responsive, fast paced design.

This course will cover user interface designing using the powerful tools within Figma. In the first section, I’ll cover the Figma interface and where you can find powerful tools like constraints to make your designs responsive, and components to build a library of design elements to use throughout your projects. I’ll also go over real-time team collaboration and how you can use figma to work closely with others in the same project.

Later on I will guide you through designing and prototyping a “Chef’s Recipes” App which will include multiple artboards, custom icon designs, editing images and text, and everything else you need to create a polished realistic design.

Please join me as a beginner in design or as a seasoned UI/UX designer wanting to switch from other tools like Sketch or Adobe XD

Who this course is for:

  • Web Designers

The interface of Figma has changed since this lessons had been published. But it is easy to find the new place of the buttons and features.

The essentials of the course are useful but he is using an old version of Figma on the course without Auto layout- which makes the course inadequate for learning up to date processes on Figma. I would not recommend this course to anyone. Buy a more up to date course for the same price and save yourself the time and energy of watching this one.

Great beginner Figma content, thanks for giving me a direction on how to design things, made me feel comfortable to do whatever app redesign I want or copy an app design to see if I could recreate it that way I get more practice.

The pace is perfect — fast, without a lot of extra detail or set up. It’s all business. It’s a good primer, but gave it four stars because it’s a little out of date. The version I’m using is clearly later than the version in the course. I would recommend to a friend.

It’s a really fun course! I made it throughout the process and was satisfied when seeing the prototype works. (PS: the Figma version in the videos is not the latest one, there are slightly different, so don’t be panic if you can’t find the button :p)

Excellent course! There were a few minor issues where the instructions did not align with the latest Figma UI, but nothing too troublesome. The information was clear and concise – just what you want to learn quickly.

One addition to consider for future videos would be elaborating on design system best practices for organizing components when collaborating with distributed teams.

It’s a good demo case to understand all the tools inside of the Figma app. But you need to definitely renew your video records because I am using newest version of Figma and yours in the video is an old version so mostly it is hard to follow you and find the same properties with the same area or names. They all changed now. Thx tho
