The course is indeed a very hands on 3 projects. It lacks some clarification. Most video don’t have an introduction to elaborate the context/purpose of the video’s todo.

Great Course! Some parts of the code needed to be adjusted to work with recent react updates, but with a little help from google and lecture comments it’s easy to make it work. The 2022 version of this course was released as I was working through this one, so I guess that’s my next project. Thanks for another great course Brad!

As a beginner it was too much new things in it which was not explained properly. It is more like intermediate course

Overall a good course. I am just disappointed that we didn’t use MongoDB for the last project. Brad really rushed through the last project.

I had basic knowledge of javascript so I got through it. If you are a hands on curious learner then this is the right course for you. If you are looking for detailed descriptions of what the code is doing then this is not for you.

This is an excellent introduction to full stack development. Brad walks you through several projects and before you know it you have a much deeper understanding of the concepts, tools and workflow involved in developing different web apps.

You may have to be a proactive learner to get the best out of it though as there’s no gaps to try things yourself, it’s really about following along with Brad’s code so I found it useful to pause the videos before he implemented something in order to have a go myself to make sure I understood what was being done.

If you are completely new to web development I would recommend starting with Angela Yu’s web dev bootcamp as it’s a perfect warm up for this course, you can find it here – https://www.udemy.com/share/[email protected]_9fyfECHxwjaSZMaH4ByQ==/

I got a lot out of this course so thank you Brad.

Brad’s approach of “watching and learning” is not well suited for a beginner. The only chance you have in learning is to be reading the documentation for extended periods of time while doing this course. And even still it is very difficult to follow.

Does not go too deep into explaining the why of things or some definitions. It gets confusing sometimes.
